Attendance management

School attendance management for Ethiopia

Take daily attendance by class and section, review useful summaries, and let students and families see the records that apply to them.

01

Start from the class roster

Attendance begins with the classes, sections and teacher assignments already configured in Timor. Staff do not need to maintain a second list of names before taking a register.

The register is designed for repeated daily use, with access scoped to the sections a teacher or school role is permitted to manage.

  • Class and section registers
  • Role-aware roster access
  • Daily attendance entry
  • Student-level attendance history

02

Keep summaries explainable

School staff can review attendance beyond a single roll call while retaining the underlying student-level entries. That makes it easier to follow patterns without separating the summary from the record that produced it.

Attendance stays connected to the same profile used for grades, family access and school reporting.

03

Share the relevant record

Students see their own attendance. Parents see attendance for their own children. They do not receive access to a class roster or another family’s records.

Those boundaries are enforced through role checks and database row-level security, not only by hiding navigation links.
